Wahey!!! A very happy band indeed after gaining first prize in the 4th Section at Fleetwood Contest on Sunday 2nd October. Playing Philip Sparkes 'Music for a Festival' the band produced a great performance beating 6 others to take the 1st place trophy and accompanying £400 prize money.
As an extra bonus, a very well deserved prize also went to Nicola Swann for Best Solo Horn in the 4th section. Nic is pictured below with her dad Andrew and gorgeous wee boy Alfie. Looks like he has no intention of letting go of the trophy!
Congratulations to everyone, a great result well deserved!
